Leading up to my and Jared's wedding (which took place earlier this month on July 5th) was a very busy time. We had little sleep, were running around like chickens with our heads cut off, and were getting increasingly nervous about everything on our wedding day going smoothly. I could not even tell you what happened as June came to a close, but it definitely involved wrapping up a whole mess of stuff at both our jobs, (Jared and I would both be away for three weeks) and beginning to finalize details for the wedding. We secured a marriage license, ordered wedding favors and assembled them with help of my Grandma, Katie D., Olivia, and Aunt Sheila, selected our wedding reception music, and purchased many of the odds-and-ends needs for the wedding. Jared and I participated in the traditional Bachelor and Bachelorette parties, which were both great. After an easy dinner at my parents house with all the girls, I got thoroughly hammered at a couple of Hamptons beach bars with my bridal party, less Olivia (too young) and Annalisa (who because of a promotion at work couldn't make it down) but plus Katie Whalen and Lisa Bordt. From what I remember, it was a super fun night. The following weekend Jared and a group of his guy pals headed down to Pennsylvania for a two nights of beer and bbq, and other guy things. We also had dinner with Father Ed earlier in the month, giving him the opportunity to meet Jared and become re-acquainted with our family since his retirement from St. Sylvester's. Robert Eisenberg also came to dinner that night, and it was great to see him too, having not had visited with him since Christmas.
That's about all my brain can remember. If you remember something else, please be sure to leave us a comment. Also, pictures of the Bachelor party can be found here and pictures from some of the other festivities are below.
