And During Today's Reading of the New York Times

During lunch today I stumbled across the article Say No To The Dress by Joanna Hershon. The title is deceiving; the article has nothing to do with the popular television show Say Yes To The Dress or about shooting down the many, many opinions you receive during the wedding planning process, especially when trying to find a wedding gown. Rather, she writes how much your life can change over the course of an engagement, and how it makes you look at your wedding in a new light, and subsequently your dress. If you have a few extra minutes, I recommend it.

We are also very thankful that our relationship is one that will be recognized and afforded rights. This week the Supreme Court of the United States heard to two cases regarding same-sex marriage. (One case is trying to prove California's Prop. 8 unconstitutional, and the other trying to strike down the U.S. Defense of Marriage Act. The Supreme Court will pass down its decisions in late June.) As strong supporters of equal rights for everyone, we look forward to the day when all couples, straight AND gay, in all 50 states, can say they are one hundred days from their wedding.
